Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act
The SMCRA establishes a program for the regulation of surface mining activities and the reclamation of coal-mined lands.
Taylor Grazing Act
The TGA protects and regulates public grazing lands in order to minimize overgrazing and soil deterioration and stabilize the livestock industry.
Toxic Substances Control Act
TSCA provides the Environmental Protection Agency with authority to require reporting, record-keeping and testing requirements, and restrictions relating to chemical substances and/or mixtures.
Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act
The UMTRCA gave the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) the responsibility of stabilizing, disposing, and controlling uranium mill tailings and other contaminated material at select uranium mill processing sites around the country.
Wild and Scenic Rivers Act
The WSRA establishes a National Wild and Scenic Rivers System and puts forth regulations on the usage of these rivers.
Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act
The WF-RHBA provides for the protection of wild free-roaming horses and burros on public lands.
Wilderness Act
The WA creates the legal definition of "wilderness" and protects a large extent of federal wilderness area.
