EPA amended NESHAPs for generic maximum achievable control technology standards for ethylene production based on the Agency's residual risk and technology review.

EPA amended NESHAPs for cellulose products manufacturing based on the Agency's finalized residual risk and technology review.

EPA finalized the residual risk and technology review conducted for the engine test cells/stands source category regulated under NESHAPs, and finalized amendments to the NESHAPs addressing periods of startup, shutdown, and malfunction and electronic reporting.

EPA found that it is not appropriate and necessary to regulate hazardous air pollutant emissions from coal- and oil-fired electric utility steam generating units (EGUs), thereby reversing the Agency's prior conclusion under CAA §112(n)(1)(A); the Agency also finalized the residual risk and technology review conducted for the coal- and oil-fired EGU source category regulated under NESHAPs, commonly referred to as the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS), and did not promulgate any revisions to the MATS rule. 

EPA revised NESHAPs for hydrochloric acid production based on the source category's residual risk and technology review to add electronic reporting; address periods of startup, shutdown, and malfunction; and establish work practice standards for maintenance activities pursuant to the CAA.

EPA finalized its residual risk and technology review for the solvent extraction for vegetable oil production source category and determined that risks due to emissions of air toxics from this source category are acceptable and that the current NESHAP provides an ample margin of safety to protect public health. 

EPA amended NESHAPs for asphalt processing and asphalt roofing manufacturing based on the Agency's residual risk and technology review.
