The Department of Environmental Conservation seeks comment on its preliminary draft of the Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System General Permit for Wastewater Discharges From Drinking Water Treatment Facilities. The permit would cover discharge of backwash and reject water from conventional/direct, membrane filtration, or ion exchange drinking water treatment systems to fresh or marine surface waters in the state.
