The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend N.C. Admin. Code tit. 15A, r. 02L.0507, involving reclassification of risk levels to groundwater for petroleum releases from aboveground storage tanks and sources. The amendment would clarify requirements for remedial action when contamination has migrated offsite. This modification does not change the legal requirements for remedial action or the Division's implementation and enforcement of the statute. A public hearing will be held on October 20, 2016.
