The State Environmental Commission proposed to amend secondary containment requirements for USTs and under-dispenser containment for motor fuel dispensers. The proposed amendments establish criteria for acceptable secondary containment; enact a requirement for secondary containment on all newly installed USTs; enact a requirement for secondary containment on any portion of a UST that is replaced; enact a requirement for under-dispenser containment on all newly installed motor fuel dispensers; and allow for an exemption from containment requirements based on distance to public water systems or potable drinking water wells. http://www.leg.state.nv.us/register/2008Register/R005-08I.pdf.
