The Pollution Control Agency proposed to amend Minn. R. 7001 and 7035, Requirements for Certain Landfills that Have Not Received a Permit before January 1, 2011. Changes would provide additional limits on where certain newly permitted landfills may be sited. In addition, changes would incorporate recent legislative actions allowing the agency to prohibit facilities in areas sensitive to groundwater contamination or where karst is likely to develop.
