The Department of the Environment will conduct a public hearing on amendments to numerous hazardous waste regulations. The purpose of this action is to incorporate into Maryland's regulations on hazardous waste management various provisions that have been promulgated at the federal level by the U.S. EPA. This action also codifies into regulation certain requirements of the Environment Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, concerning administrative procedures for permit actions.
