The Division of Mine Permits proposed amendments to 405 Ky. Admin. Regs. 10:001 and 10:015. The proposed amendments would add a definition for "long-term treatment" to regulations pertaining to surface coal mining and reclamation operations under the permanent regulatory program, change the multiplier for long-term treatment financial assurance calculations under the bonding protocol program, and remove the provision to allow a remediation plan in lieu of payment of the long-term treatment bond.
