The Department of Health and Environment proposed to replace the existing Water Pollution Control General Permit for stormwater runoff from industrial activity with a new general permit. Stormwater runoff from industrial activity is defined as a discharge from any conveyance that is used for collecting and conveying stormwater and that is directly related to manufacturing, processing or raw materials storage areas at an industrial facility.
