The Department of Natural Resources proposed to amend 62 Ill. Admin. Code §245, pertaining to the Hydraulic Fracturing Regulatory Act. Changes would regulate the permitting, drilling, construction, operation, and plugging of wells and the restoration of well sites where high volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing operations are conducted. Public hearings will be held on November 26 and December 3, 2013, and the deadline for comment is January 3, 2014.
