The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission proposed to amend Fla. Admin. Code Ann. r. 68-5.002, Conditional Non-native Species. The amendments would allow for possession, culture and transport of Nile tilapia without permit in all counties of the Northeast, North Central, South and Southwest Regions, and add these allowances for blue tilapia to all counties in the North Central region. Written comments will be accepted until February 13, 2017. If requested, a public hearing will be held on both April 19 and 20, 2017 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
