The Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to Fla. Admin. Code Ann. r. 62B-26.001, Description of the Walton County Coastal Construction Control Line. The changes would amend Rule 62B-26.001, reestablishing the Coastal Construction Control Line for Walton County, to more accurately define that portion of the beach dune system subject to severe fluctuations based upon the 100-year storm surge and storm waves, thereby defining the area within which special siting and design considerations are required to ensure protection of the beach dune system, proposed or existing structures, adjacent properties, and the preservation of public beach access.
