The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to Del. Code Ann. tit.7, §1124, Control of Volatile Organic Compound Emissions; and Del. Code Ann. tit.7, §1138, Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Source Categories. The amendments require lower volatile organic compound (VOC) content of the coatings and cleaning solvents used in the refinishing of mobile equipment, primarily automobiles, in order to lower VOC emissions, a precursor to the formation of ground-level ozone.
