The Department of Fish and Game announced that the Friant Water Authority proposes to carry out a maintenance project that may adversely effect species protected under the California Endangered Species Act, including the California tiger salamander. The FWS issued a "no-jeopardy" federal biological opinion, and the Friant Water Authority seeks a determination that the project is in compliance with the California Endangered Species Act. http://www.oal.ca.gov/res/docs/pdf/notice/20z-2010.pdf p. 704.
