The Department of Toxic Substances Control will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to California Code of Regulations, title 22, sections 66260.10 through 66265.147, Financial Assurance Rulemaking. The intent is to ensure that the financial burden of closure and post-closure is borne by the party that caused and benefited from the hazardous waste operation and not by the people or the state.
