The South Coast Air Quality Management District will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to Rule 1144, Lubricants, Metal Working Fluids and Rust Inhibitors. The proposed rule will also prohibit the sale of lubricants, metal working fluids, and rust inhibitors unless they meet applicable volatile organic compound (VOC) limits, require containers to display the VOC content as supplied and after recommended dilution, and provide exemptions for certain applications where deemed appropriate.
