EPA announced the availability of its draft document entitled Guidance for 1-Hour SO2 NAAQS SIP Submissions and seeks public comment.

FWS announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the gopher tortoise in the eastern portion of its range as threatened and to designate critical habitat under the ESA; the agency found that listing is warranted but precluded by higher priority actions; the agency also maintained threatened status for the species in the western portion of its range.

FWS determined endangered status for Pagosa skyrocket in Archuleta County, Colorado, and determined threatened status for Parachute beardtongue in Garfield County, Colorado, and DeBeque phacelia in Mesa and Garfield Counties, Colorado, under the ESA.
