The Department of Natural Resources proposed amendments to regulations governing investigation and remediation of environmental contamination. The amendments would, among other things, outline procedures and requirements for continuing obligations before closure, with a focus on reporting, database entry and tracking, and department service fees; clarify requirements for the long-term management of continuing obligations, and implement changes made under 2015 Wisconsin Act 204 relating to continuing obligations imposed at all stages of cleanup.
