The Department of Environmental Conservation proposed to issue an Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System general permit for excavation dewatering discharges. The permit would authorize and set conditions on the discharges of pollutants from authorized excavation dewatering discharges to waters of the United States or to land, and place limits on the types and amounts of pollutants that can be discharged.
