Maryland: Waste

The Secretary of the Environment adopted amendments to Regulation .02 under COMAR 26.13.11, Special Medical Wastes; Regulation .05 under COMAR 26.13.12, Standards Applicable to Generators of Special Medical Waste; and Regulation .03 under COMAR 26.13.13, Standards Applicable to Transporters of Special Medical Waste. Montana: Waste

The Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the amendment of ARM 17.50.501 through 17.50.503, 17.50.508, 17.50.509, and 17.50.513; the adoption of new rules I through XXV; and the repeal of ARM 17.50.505, 17.50.506, 17.50.510, 17.50.511, 17.50.526, 17.50.530, 17.50.531, 17.50.542, 17.50.701, 17.50.702, 17.50.705 through 17.50.710, 17.50.715, 17.50.716, and 17.50.720 through 17.50.726 pertaining to the licensing and operation of solid waste landfill facilities. The hearing will be held May 14, 2008.

New Mexico: Land use

The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department and Taxation and Revenue Department announced that they will conduct a public hearing concerning the adoption of a new rule regarding the land conservation incentives tax credit for donations of land or interests in land to public or private land conservation agencies for conservation purposes and repeal of the existing rule, 3.13.20 NMAC. The hearing will be held May 6, 2008. Comments are due May 6, 2008.

Ohio: Air

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will conduct a public hearing to consider minor amendments to OAC rules 3745-14-01, 3745-14-03, 3745-14-05, 3745-14-06, 3745-14-11, and 3745-14-12 concerning rules about nitrous oxide and other topics related to air quality. The above-mentioned rules are a part of Ohio's SIP and the proposed amendments will be submitted to U.S. EPA as a modification of the SIP. http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us/pdfs/phn/3745_NO_48757_20080410_0846.pdf.

Rhode Island: Wildlife

The Department of Environmental Management will hold a public hearing to afford interested parties the opportunity for public comment on proposed amendments to the Rhode Island Marine Fisheries Regulations, including changes to the monkfish regulations relating to a monkfish fishery control date, amendments to the commercial fishing licensing regulations titled "Rules and Regulations Governing the Management of Marine Fisheries" regarding the inclusion of a monkfish fishery control date, and proposed maximum gauge sizes for the Area 3, 4, 5, and 6 lobster fisheries.
