Mississippi: Waste

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality proposes to amend Part 280, a regulation governing technical standards and corrective action requirements for owners and operators of USTs. The amendments would address industry codes and recommended practices and operation and maintenance of secondary containment. The changes would also include the addition of appendices providing guidelines on the operation of petroleum UST systems and the evaluation of UST cathodic protection systems.

Missouri: Air

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources proposes to amend 10 CSR 10-6.110, a regulation addressing submittal of emission information, emission fees, and public availability of emission data. The amendments would alter the emissions reporting threshold for small sources with emissions that vary throughout the year. A public hearing will be held July 31, 2008. New Jersey: Climate Change

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection proposes to establish a carbon trading program. This program would serve as the state's component of a regional effort comprising nine other states that seek to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from large fossil fuel-fired electric generating units.
