Kentucky: Water

The Department of Environmental Protection amended 401 KAR 5:057, KPDES Pretreatment Requirements; 401 KAR 5:010, Operation of Wastewater Systems by Certified Operators; 401 KAR 11:001, Definitions for 401 KAR Chapter 11; 401 KAR 11:010, Board of Certification; 401 KAR 11:020, Standards of Professional Conduct for Certified Operators; 401 KAR 11:030, Wastewater Treatment and Collection Operators-Classification and Qualification; 401 KAR 11:050, Operator Certification; and 401 KAR 11:060, Certification Fees.

Maine: Air

The Department of Environmental Protection adopted amendments to Ch. 137, Emission Statements. The rule establishes requirements for facilities to report air pollutant emissions. The amendments require facilities to submit an emissions inventory by May 15 of each year (previously July 1). Thirteen hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) from fuel burning sources will be reported by those facilities regardless of the level emitted. The rule also deletes 29 HAPs currently reported to the state but not to EPA. The amendments align the rule more closely with the new federal rules.

Maine: Climate Change

The Energy and Carbon Savings Trust will hold a public hearing on proposed adoption of Ch. 2, Rules for Administration of Trust, Budgeting, Project Selection Criteria and Procedures, Monitoring, and Evaluation Requirements. The rule would establish administrative and operational requirements for the activities of the Energy and Carbon Savings Trust and its grantees.

Maryland: Air

The Department of the Environment will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to COMAR 26.11.02, Permits, Approvals and Registrations; and COMAR 26.11.09, Control of Fuel-Burning Equipment, Stationary Internal Combustion Engines, and Certain Fuel-Burning Installations. The purpose of this action is to establish nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission requirements for stationary internal combustion engines that are used as emergency generators or load shaving units.

Massachusetts: Air

The Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to 310 CMR 7.40, Massachusetts§ Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) Program. The amendments would adopt the California Smog Index Label revisions under the LEV Program regulations. The requirements would apply to all passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty passenger vehicles manufactured on or after the effective date of the regulation.
