The Department of Ecology proposed to reissue the aquatic noxious weed management general permit, which covers all marine and freshwater activities that result in a discharge of herbicides, adjuvants, and marker dyes indirectly into streams, rivers, estuaries, marine areas, wetlands, along lake shorelines, and other wet areas. The permit regulates the use of pesticides and other products applied to manage noxious weeds where pesticides or other products may indirectly enter the state's surface waters.

The Department of Environmental Quality added 9 Va. Admin. Code §15.90, Uniform Environmental Covenants Act Regulation. The regulation is based on the Model Uniform Act developed by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Law.
