A settling CAA defendant responsible for PSD permit and best available control technology violations at Luke Mill, an integrated pulp and paper mill in western Maryland, must pay $1.6 million to the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service to implement projects in Shenandoah National Park and the Monongahela National Forest to mitigate the adverse effects of acidic deposition.
