United States v. Hess Corp.

A settling OPA defendant that discharged oil into the Gulf of Mexico from its offshore platform in Block 51 of Breton Sound, Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, must pay $8.63 million to restore, replace, or acquire the equivalent of the natural resources injured, destroyed, or lost as a result of the oil spill, and $93,394.88 to reimburse the United States and Louisiana for all remaining unpaid assessment costs.
