United States v. Chevron Mining Inc.
A settling CERCLA defendant responsible for violations at the Chevron Questa Mine Superfund site, an inactive molybdenum mine in Taos County, New Mexico, must pay $5,269,949 in past U.S. response costs; must perform certain aspects of the EPA-selected remedial action for the site, which are estimated to cost over $143 million; and must pay future costs associated with oversight of that work.
