United States v. Blue Lake Power, LLC

A settling CAA defendant that violated PSD provisions and state rules when it restarted its biomass-fired electric generating plant in Blue Lake, California, in 2010 must pay a $5,000 civil penalty to the United States and North Carolina; install and operate pollution control equipment at its facility; meet emission limitations for carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, and coarse particulate matter (PM); adopt operational procedures to reduce additional emissions of PM from the facility; and contribute $10,000 to a wood stove replacement program to mitigate adverse effects of PM.
