The Department of Health is proposing to amend Fla. Admin. Code Ann. r.64E-5.206 and .217 regarding the use of radioactive materials. Among other changes, the amendments would update the rules to maintain consistency with NRC requirements, and provide for a general license for the use of discrete sources of radium 226 and naturally occurring radioactive materials. A public hearing will be held if requested by April 9, 2015, and the deadline for comment is also April 9, 2015.
