EPA announced the availability of and seeks comment on data related to the aquatic toxicity of chitosan salts that will be considered in the Agency's decision regarding whether to finalize the proposal to add chitosan to the list of permitted active ingredients in exempted risk pesticide products under FIFRA.Ā

The New Hampshire Pesticide Control Board proposed amendments to N.H. Code Admin. R. Ann. Pes 101.36, 301.03, 303.01, and 505.01. The proposed amendments would, among other things, add a definition for "minimum risk pesticides," add a license category for mosquitoes and black flies, and replace existing language that limits the timing of pesticide application in rights-of-way with language that identifies that the use of herbicide in rights-of-way be conducted under the supervision of a certified applicator in a manner than minimizes foliar brownout.
