The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection proposed to amend Conn. Agencies Regs. §§23-5c-1, 26-16-3a, 26-55-4, 26-66-1, 26-66-3, 26-66-4, 26-66-5, 26-66-7, 26-66-12, 26-66-13, 26-86a-2, 26-86a-6, and adopt §26-55-7. The proposed amendments and adoption would streamline procedures for natural area preserves; enhance wildlife conservation and wildlife-centered recreation; enhance consistency and transparency in hunting regulations; promote public safety; and manage, conserve, and protect wildlife from disease and other potential threats. A hearing will be held May 29, 2019.
