The Board of Minerals and Environment proposed amendments to S.D. Admin. R. 74:28:21 to :28, :30, and :33. The proposed amendments would, among other things, increase regulatory flexibility and clarity of rules applicable to hazardous waste generators, establish procedures for managing and disposing of defective airbag inflators, provide healthcare facilities and pharmacies with management and disposal options for hazardous waste pharmaceuticals, revise requirements involving imports and exports of hazardous waste, and incorporate corrections made in federal regulations.

The Department of Public Health and Environment proposed amendments to 6 Colo. Code Regs. §1007-3. The proposed amendments would clarify the additional requirements that a very small quantity generator or small quantity generator experiencing an episodic event must comply with in order to retain their generator category, and provide a conditional exemption for airbag waste that exempts the collection of airbag waste from hazardous waste requirements so long as certain requirements are met. A hearing will be held May 21, 2019.

The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control proposed to adopt Utah Admin. Code r. 315-261-4(j) and 315-262-14(a)(5)(xi). The proposed adoptions would add conditions for exemption from being regulated as a hazardous waste for airbag waste, and provide the option for a very small quantity generator to deliver airbag waste to an airbag collection facility or a designated facility.
