The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to add Utah Admin. Code r. 307.208, Outdoor Wood Boiler Prohibition. The rule would prohibit any person from selling, offering for sale, supplying, installing, purchasing, or transferring an outdoor wood boiler starting September 1, 2013. In addition, the rule would require owners and operators to register their outdoor wood boilers. There will be a public hearing August 15, 2012, and the deadline for comment is August 31.
