The Department of Environmental Quality proposes to amend 15A N.C. Admin. Code 07L.0101 and .0503, regarding Coastal Management, Local Planning and Management Grants, Purpose and Authority. The amendments intend to shift the primary focus of grant funding from local land use plans to a broad variety of local projects that address coastal issues and allow the Division of Coastal Management to focus on specific issues or areas of Coastal Resources Commission interest in awarding grant funds. A public hearing will be held on February 8, 2017. Public comment will be accepted until March 6, 2017.
