The Fish and Wildlife Commission proposed to adopt a new rule under Mont. Admin. R. 12.9.1401 concerning grizzly bear demographic objectives. The new rule would adopt the demographic objectives of the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem (NCDE) conservation strategy, which is intended to guide management of grizzly bears once they are delisted under the ESA, to demonstrate Montana's commitment to maintaining a recovered grizzly bear population in the NCDE. Hearings will be held September 18, 2018, September 19, 2018, September 26, 2018, and September 27, 2018. Comments are due October 26, 2018.
