The Department of Commerce will hold a public hearing August 24, 2015 on the proposed adoption of New Rule I, regarding categorical exclusions to the Montana Environmental Policy Act. The changes clarify and outline a procedure to identify actions that seldom cause significant impact to the environment, as well as those actions which might otherwise be excluded but which do cause significant impact.
