Maine: Clean Water Act (CWA)

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection proposed amendments to Chapter 584, Surface Water Quality Criteria for Toxic Pollutants. The amendments would, among other things, implement human health criteria based on updates to the designated use of sustenance fishing, introduce carbaryl to the non-priority pollutant list, and update ambient water quality criteria for human health using methodology from EPA’s 2015 update to human health ambient water quality criteria.
