The Department of Natural Resources proposed amendments to Ill. Admin. Code 62, §240. The proposed amendments would ensure consistency with the Illinois Oil and Gas Act, increase protections to the people and environment of Illinois, account for changes in industry practices and activities, and streamline oil and gas enforcement procedures to increase efficiency, promote voluntary compliance, and deter noncompliance within the regulated community.
