Virginia: Clean Water Act (CWA)

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amends its Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System general permit for poultry waste management. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency proposed to adopt Ohio Admin. Code 3745-81-27 to ‐28 and 3745‐89‐01 to -12. The adoption would establish regulations for acquiring and retaining drinking water laboratory certification. A hearing will be held September 2, 2020, and comments are due that same date. Ohio: Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency proposed to adopt Ohio Admin. Code 3745-81-24. The adoption would establish organic chemical monitoring requirements to set forth a triggered approach to diagnosing the best treatment options for consecutive systems who have elevated disinfection byproduct levels. Maryland: Air (generally)

The Maine Department of the Environment proposed to adopt 26-11-41 Me. Code R. §§.01-.07, concerning control of methane emissions from the natural gas industry. The adoptions would establish requirements to reduce vented and fugitive emissions of methane from both new and existing natural gas facilities. A hearing will be held August 31, 2020. Delaware: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control proposed to amend its hazardous waste regulations. The amendments incorporate changes in federal regulations to maintain its RCRA program delegation and remain current with the federal hazardous waste program. A hearing will be held August 27, 2020. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)

Alaska: Hazardous Substances

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation proposed to amend its regulations concerning land disposal of low-level naturally occurring radioactive material. The amendments would allow for land disposal of these materials in certain permitted Alaska landfills with the most protective containment design. Comments are due August 31, 2020. Alabama: Hazardous Substances

The Alabama Department of Environmental Management proposed to amend its hazardous waste regulations. The amendments would incorporate changes in federal regulations, adopt certain state-specific requirements, and provide clarification of state requirements for management of hazardous waste management.
