Kansas: Sustainability

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is proposing to revise its plan for implementation, maintenance and enforcement of the 2012 annual fine particular matter NAAQS. A public hearing is scheduled for November 10, 2015. However, the hearing will be cancelled if no member of the public expresses interest by noon on November 6, 2015. Written comments will be accepted until November 10, 2015.

California: Sustainability

The California Energy Commission is proposing to amend Cal. Code Regs. tit. 20, §1601-1609, regarding appliance efficiency regulations. The proposed changes would amend regulations regarding small diameter directional lamps and light-emitting diode lamps. A public hearing will be held on November 18, 2015. Arizona: Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is proposing to update Ariz. Admin. Code R18-4, regarding its rules on safe drinking water. The changes would align Arizona’s rules with current federal standards. A public hearing will be held on November 23, 2015. Written comments will be accepted until 5 pm on November 23, 2015. Arizona: Governance

The Arizona Department of Agriculture (ADA) is proposing to adopt amendments to Ariz. Rev. Stat. §3-363, regarding the regulation of structural pest management in the state (as recommended by the ADA Task Force). The proposed changes address organizational oversight and statutory changes, among others issues. A public hearing will be held on November 16, 2015. Written comments will be accepted until 5 pm on November 16, 2015.

Alaska: Air quality

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is proposing to update Alaska Admin. Code tit. 18, §50, regarding the annual fine particulate matter NAAQS and the State Air Quality Control Plan (specifically regarding interstate transport of pollution, state areawide programs for regional haze, and modifications of definitions). Two public hearings will be held on November 17, 2015. The hearings will be held only if requested by 5 pm on November 12, 2015. Written comments will be accepted until 5 pm on December 3, 2015.
