Alaska: Toxic Substances

The Department of Environmental Conservation is seeking public comment on proposed changes to Alaska's Preparedness Plan for Response to Oil and Hazardous Substance Discharges. Changes would define the role of the newly formed steering committee, especially with regards to resolving differences of opinion. The deadline for comment is June 15, 2015. Alabama: Ground water

The Department of Environmental Management is proposing to amend various sections of Ala. Admin. Code r. 335-6-8 regarding aquifer storage and recovery wells. Changes would define aquifer storage and recovery wells, and amend related regulations to include them. Alabama: Clean Water Act (CWA)

The Department of Environmental Management is proposing to amend various sections of Ala. Admin. Code r. 335-6-6 regarding NPDES permits. Changes would maintain consistency with federal rules and make administrative corrections. A public hearing will be held on June 15, 2015, and the deadline for comment is also June 15, 2015. Alabama: Fisheries

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is proposing to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 220-3-.02 regarding oyster fisheries. Among other changes, the amendments would require biennial training for oyster harvesting or dredging licensees. Alabama: Fisheries

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is proposing to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 220-2-.46 regarding commercial fishing. Changes would require tags for trotlines, snag lines, or snare lines, and prohibit non-commercial fishers from using lines with more than 100 hooks. A public hearing will be held on June 5, 2015, and the deadline for comment is also June 5, 2015.

Alabama: Invasive Species

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is proposing to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 220-2-.30 regarding fur-bearing animals. Changes would designate feral swine as fur-bearing animals and include them in the rules regulating such animals.
