The State Water Control Board proposed to amend 9 Va. Admin. Code §25.660, Virginia Water Protection General Permit for Impacts Less Than One-Half Acre. Changes include reissuing the general permit, revising several administrative procedures, and updating application and permitting requirements to reflect current policies. The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 317.1.3, Requirements for Waste Discharges. Changes incorporate technology-based limits for controlling nutrient pollution. The deadline for comment is August 1, 2014. Utah: Natural Resources

The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 309.550, Facility Design and Operation: Transmission and Distribution Pipelines. Changes include clarifying the minimum pipeline size and incorporating a new federal requirement for lead-free materials. The deadline for comment is July 1, 2014. Utah: Water

The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 309.545, Facility Design and Operation: Drinking Water Storage Tanks. Changes include adding a requirement that there be a means to drain tanks and establishing rules for curing procedures and volatile organic compound sampling for tank coating.
