Utah: Natural Resources

The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 315.15, pertaining to the standards for the management of used oil. Utah: Hazardous Substances

The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 315.2.4, pertaining to solid and hazardous waste. Changes would allow rags and wipes considered hazardous waste to be disposed of in non-hazardous solid waste landfills when certain conditions are met. The deadline for comment is May 1, 2014. The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 315.1.1, pertaining to solid and hazardous waste. Changes would add definitions for “no free liquids” and “solvent-contaminated wipe.” The deadline for comment is May 1, 2014. Utah: Air

The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Utah Admin. Code r. 307.257.4, pertaining to air quality. Amendments would change the volatile organic compound content limit for general purpose adhesives from 80% to 10%. The deadline for comment is May 1, 2014. Tennessee: Radiation

The Department of Environment and Conservation amended Tenn. Admin. Code §400.20. in order to maintain consistency with the Price-Anderson Act. Changes would eliminate unnecessary financial assurance requirements for transporters of radioactive materials. South Carolina: Air

The Department of Health and Environmental Control proposed to amend S.C. Reg. 61.30, Environmental Protection Fees. Changes would amend the Schedule of Air Quality Fees in order to cover the cost of the Title V Permit Program. Rhode Island: Water

The Department of Environmental Management proposed to adopt the “State of Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Port Operations Regulations and Berthing Management System.” The deadline for comment is May 19, 2014, and a public hearing will be held that day. New York: Wildlife

The Department of Environmental Conservation proposed to amend N.Y. Comp. Code R. and Regs. tit. 6, §41. Changes would reclassify underwater lands to prohibit the harvest of shellfish.
