Georgia: Hazardous Substances

The Department of Natural Resources proposed to amend Chapter 391.3.17, pertaining to underground storage tank management. Changes would increase the environmental assurance fee for each gallon of petroleum products imported in Georgia. Georgia: Radiation

The Department of Natural Resources proposed to amend Chapter 391.3.17, pertaining to rules for radioactive materials. Changes would ensure consistency with Nuclear Regulatory Commission rules. Minnesota: Water

The Pollution Control Agency amended state rules governing the State Clean Water Partnership Financial Assistance Program. Illinois: Radiation

The Emergency Management Agency proposed to amend 32 Ill. Admin. Code §330, Licensing of Radioactive Material. Changes would clarify that any gauging or controlling device that contains 37 MBq or greater of radioactive materials other than strontium-90, radium-226 or polonium-210 is required to be registered. District of Columbia: Waste

The Department of the Environment proposed to amend 21 D.C. Mun. Regs. §7, Solid Waste Control. The rulemaking would establish the fee-setting formula and actual fee for recyclable food waste disposed of at a District trash transfer station. The deadline for comment is March 22, 2013. New Hampshire: Toxic Substances

The Department of Environmental Services proposed to amend Env-Wq 306, Management of Mercury Containing Amalgam. The rules, which implement a state law that requires the use of environmentally appropriate equipment and methods to dispose of mercury in dental amalgam waste, are set to expire May 28, 2013. Amendments would readopt the rules. There will be a public hearing April 22, 2013, and the deadline for comments is April 29.

Massachusetts: Clean Air Act (CAA)

The Department of Environmental Protection proposed to amend 310 Mass. Code Regs. §40.00, Massachusetts Contingency Plan. Changes would revise appendices pertaining to indoor air threshold values and sub-slab soil gas screening values of the Interim Final Vapor Intrusion Guidance to reflect revised toxicity values and correct errors. There will be public hearings April 3-10, 2013, and the deadline for comment is May 17.

The Department of Environmental Protection proposed to add 06-096 Code Me. Regs. Ch. 162, Control for Fiberglass Boat Manufacturing Materials. The rule would limit volatile organic compound emissions during the manufacture and repair of fiberglass boats. There will be a public hearing April 2, 2013, and the deadline for comment is April 15. The Department of Environmental Protection proposed to amend 06-096 Code Me. Regs. Ch. 125, Perchlorethylene Dry Cleaners. Changes would simplify compliance and improve the rule's enforceability. The Department of Public Health and Environment proposed to amend 5 Colo. Code Regs. §1001.10, Control of Hazardous Air Pollutants. Changes would incorporate National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants. There will be a public hearing May 16, 2013.
