Delaware: Energy

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control proposed to amend 26 Del. Admin. Code §354. Changes would direct when and whether the Director of the Division of Energy & Climate may institute a freeze on the implementation of Delaware’s Renewable Energy Portfolio Standards. California: Toxic Substances

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment proposed to amend 27 Cal. Code Regs. §25306 in order to add trichloroethylene to the list of chemicals known to the state to cause reproductive toxicity. The deadline for comment is January 13, 2014. Alaska: Radiation

The Department of Environmental Conservation proposed to amend 7 Alaska Admin. Code 85, Radiation Protection. Changes pertain to the discharge and disposal of radioactive materials. Alaska: Radiation

The Department of Health and Social Services proposed to amend 7 Alaska Admin. Code 18, Radiation Sources and Protection, and 80, Fees for Department Services. Changes seek to maintain consistency with national standards. A public hearing will be held on December 16, 2013, and the deadline for comment is January 15, 2014. Alabama: Waste

The Department of Environmental Management proposed to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 335.6.15.15, Release Detection Requirements for Petroleum UST Systems. Under the proposed amendment, tanks with a capacity of up to 1000 gallons would be able to use weekly tank gauging as a stand-alone method of leak detection. The deadline for comment is January 9, 2014, and a public hearing will be held that day.

Alabama: Waste

The Department of Environmental Management proposed to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 335.6.15.09, Operation and Maintenance of Spill and Overfill Control and Containment Systems. Changes would require spill catchment basin testing to comply with a code of practice written by a nationally recognized organization. The deadline for comment is January 9, 2014, and a public hearing will be held that day.

The Department of Environmental Management proposed to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 335.6.15.06, Performance Standard for New USTs, Piping, UST Systems, and/or Dispensers. Changes would clarify that the installation of UST equipment must comply with a code of practice written by a nationally recognized organization. The deadline for comment is January 9, 2014, and a public hearing will be held that day.

The Department of Environmental Management proposed to amend Ala. Admin. Code r. 335.3.3.05 in order to incorporate the Emission Guideline for Existing Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste Incineration Units.
