Oklahoma: Water

The Department of Environmental Quality proposed to amend Okla. Admin. Code §§252.301.9, Laboratory Accreditation, & 302.9, Field Laboratory Accreditation. Changes would incorporate by reference EPA required analytical methodologies for drinking water, wastewater and solid waste, and incorporate updates to the list of approved methods for environmental testing. There will be a public hearing November 13, 2013.

Ohio: Air

The Environmental Protection Agency amended Ohio Admin. Code §3745.20.01, Asbestos Emission Control Program. Amendments alter the definition of "Facility" and remove the definition of "Residential Exempt Structure." Changes took effect July 18, 2013. See http://wwwapp.epa.ohio.gov/legal/pubnots/130712.pdf.

Ohio: Clean Air Act (CAA)

The Environmental Protection Agency proposed to amend Ohio Admin. Code §3745.110, Nitrogen Oxides- Reasonably Available Control Technology. Changes bring the rules in line with federal requirements. Amendments took effect July 19, 2013. See http://wwwapp.epa.ohio.gov/legal/pubnots/130712.pdf.

Missouri: Hazardous Substances

The Department of Natural Resources proposed to amend Mo. Code Regs. Ann. tit. 10, §26.2, pertaining to hazardous substance storage tanks. The amendment would add a condition under which owners and operators must investigate sites and undertake corrective actions related to underground storage tank closures and changes. The rulemaking also incorporates guidance related to investigations corrective actions. There will be a public hearing August 15, 2013, and the deadline for comment is August 22.

Virginia: Quality

The Department of Environmental Quality amended 9 Va. Admin. Code §25.860, General Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit for Potable Water Treatment Plants. Changes add definitions, change the expiration date, and reduce monitoring requirements for certain plants, among other revisions. Amendments take effect December 24, 2013.
