Oklahoma: Toxic Substances

The Department of Environmental Quality amended Okla. Admin. Code §252.110.1, 5, & 15, Lead Based Paint Management. Changes add subchapter 15, Additional Renovation, Repair, and Painting Requirements, and incorporate federal requirements by reference. New York: Climate Change

The Department of Environmental Conservation proposed to amend N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 6, §200, and to add §251, Carbon Dioxide Emissions from Major Electric Generating Facilities. Changes target emissions reductions. There will be public hearings on March 5, 6, and 8, 2012, and the deadline for comment is March 15. Climate Change (generally)

Maryland: Quality

The Department of the Environment proposed to amend Md. Code Regs. 26.08.02, Water Quality. Changes would revise water quality standards. There will be a public hearing January 26, 2012, and the deadline for comment is February 13. See http://www.dsd.state.md.us/mdregister/3901.pdf (pp. 69-71).


Maine: Air

The Department of Environmental Protection proposed to amend 06-096 Code Me. Regs. Ch. 164, General Permit for Concrete Batch Plants, and Ch. 165, General Permit for Class IV-A Incinerators. Changes would establish a general permit program for stationary and portable concrete batch plants and Class IV-A Human Crematory Incinerators and Veterinary Incinerators. Illinois: Energy

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency proposed to amend 35 Ill. Admin. Code §275, Alternate Fuels Program. Amendments would allow car sharing organizations to receive grants to purchase new electric vehicles from an Illinois car dealership. The deadline for comment is February 27, 2012. District of Columbia: Energy

The Public Service Commission proposed to amend D.C. Mun. Regs. §2900, Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard. Changes would eliminate the requirement to submit On-Site and Behind-the-Meter Generation Reports. See http://www.dcregs.dc.gov/Gateway/NoticeHome.aspx?NoticeID=1877161.


California: Toxic Substances

The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment proposed to change previously proposed amendments to 27 Cal. Code Regs. §25705. The new amendments would set the no significant risk level for chlorothalonil to 41 micrograms per day. The deadline for comment is January 30, 2012.
