Ohio: Water

The Environmental Protection Agency proposed to amend Ohio Admin. Code §§3745.3 and 3745.36, Industrial Discharges to Publicly Owned Treatment Works and Permit Program Regulating Discharge of Nondomestic Wastewater into a POTW, as part of a five-year review. Ohio: Clean Air Act (CAA)

The Environmental Protection Agency adopted changes to Ohio Admin. Code §3745.25, Ohio’s Ambient Air Quality Standards. Changes ensure that the state's regulations are as stringent as federal rules. The adoption took effect June 14, 2012. See http://wwwapp.epa.ohio.gov/legal/pubnots/120608.pdf.

New Hampshire: Air

The Department of Environmental Services readopted and amended Env-A 1401, 1402, and 1450, Regulated Toxic Air Pollutants. The rule took effect June 1, 2012. See http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rules/register/2012/june-7-12.pdf (p. 6).

Montana: Water

The Board of Environmental Review proposed to amend Mont. Admin. R. 17.30, 17.36, 17.38, and 17.50, pertaining to wastewater systems. Among other changes, amendments alter the definition of "reclaimed wastewater" and add exclusions from permit requirements. Minnesota: Quality

The Pollution Control Agency proposed to alter previous proposed amendments to Minn. R. 7050, 7052, and 7053, governing state water quality. Additional amendments expand the rule chapters affected and alter use classification for specific waters that support cold water communities (such as trout lakes). Maryland: Clean Air Act (CAA)

The Department of the Environment proposed to amend Md. Code Regs. 26.11.04, amending §.03 and repealing §.04-.09, Ambient Air Quality Standards. Changes adopt revised NAAQS and will be submitted to U.S. EPA as part of the SIP approval process. There will be a public hearing July 18, 2012. Maine: Clean Air Act (CAA)

The Department of Environmental Protection proposed to amend 06-096 Code Me. Regs. Chs. 100, Definitions; 115, Major and Minor Source Air Emission License Regulation; and 140, Air Emission License Regulation. Changes incorporate fine particulate matter updates from U.S. EPA. Illinois: Hazardous Substances

The Pollution Control Board amended 35 Ill. Admin. Code §728, Land Disposal Restrictions. Changes implement federal amendments that revise land disposal restrictions applicable to carbamate wastes to allow the use of best demonstrated available technologies for treating carbamate wastes. Illinois: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)

The Pollution Control Board amended 35 Ill. Admin. Code §720, Hazardous Waste Management System: General. Changes update the Illinois Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Subtitle C hazardous waste rules to correspond with U.S. EPA amendments. The amendment took effect June 4, 2012. Florida: Fisheries
