Colorado: Waste

The Department of Public Health and Environment amended 6 Colo. Code. Regs. §1007.2, Regulations Pertaining to Solid Waste Sites and Facilities. Changes alter definitions for "biohazardous waste" and "infectious waste." Colorado: Waste

The Department of Public Health and Environment amended 6 Colo. Code. Regs. §1007.3, Hazardous Waste, to define "environmental use restriction" and "notice of environmental use restriction" and to add them to the list of documents subject to review fees. The Department of Public Health and Environment amended 6 Colo. Code. Regs. §1007.3, Hazardous Waste. Changes relate to manifest regulations for shipments of hazardous waste, including the addition of exception reporting requirements for rejected shipments moving to an alternate facility. Colorado: Waste

The Department of Public Health and Environment amended 6 Colo. Code. Regs. §1007.3, Hazardous Waste. Changes relate to Revisions to the OECD Requirements for Export Shipments of Spent Lead-Acid Batteries. Among other changes, the amendments alter the definition of hazardous waste in the context of spent lead-acid batteries and add requirements for amber waste. Changes take effect August 16, 2011.

Colorado: Water

The Water Quality Control Commission amended 5 Colo. Code Regs. §1002.31, Basic Standards and Methodologies for Surface Water. Changes outline requirements for the Commission to grant temporary modification to numeric standards and delay consideration of nutrient criteria until March 2012. In addition, the Commission altered standards for a number of state rivers and basins. The Pollution Control Board proposed to amend 35 Ill. Admin. Code 807, Solid Waste. Changes would incorporate technical corrections to Financial Assurance Instruments. The Pollution Control Board proposed to amend 35 Ill. Admin. Code 811, Standards for New Solid Waste Landfills. Changes would incorporate technical corrections to Financial Assurance Instruments. Montana: Water

The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation proposed to amend Mont. Admin. R. 36.12.101, 36.12.102, 36.12.103, and 36.12.1701 regarding water rights permitting. Changes would alter definitions to define "manifold" and would remove obsolete earmarks and forms. Nevada: Energy

Texas: Waste

The Commission on Environmental Quality amended 30 Tex. Admin. Code §328.66, Management of Used or Scrap Tires. Under the rule change, applicants for Land Reclamation Projects Using Tires are no longer required to publish public notice in adjacent counties; public notice need only be published in the county in which the facility is to be located.
