The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is proposing to amend Alaska Admin. Code, tit. 18, §75, regarding cleanup levels for contaminated soil and groundwater. The changes would update the department's Procedures for Calculating Cumulative Risk, allow the department to set site-specific instructions and cleanup alternative levels, allow for levels to be proposed by third parties, and change definitions for pollutants and affected populations, among other things. A public hearing will be held on October 14, 2015, in Anchorage; additional meetings will be held on October 27, 2015, and November 5, 2015.
